Start a Town Wide Storm Drain Project

There is no better way to create town unity than participating in a feel-good project. You need something that benefits your area, and something that everyone can do. These days people are really striving to make their communities cleaner. I have recently heard about stencils from stencilease.com that you apply to local storm drains http://www.stencilease.com/db/index.asp?catagory=Storm%20Drain. These stencils promote awareness regarding harmful littering into these drains which in turn end up in our waterways. I plan on bringing this up at our next town meeting. The website sells these in single sheets, or in bulk. Again, this seems like a great project for public works, town officials, Boy & Girl scouts, and private associations.
